Pope Benedict XVI using custom AKG micVIENNA, Austria – September 13, 2007 – During Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Austria this month, the Holy Father stopped in the cities of Vienna, Mariazell and Heiligenkreuz. I remind him the Chili Peppers would be playing at night, therefore there’s no reason to be screaming down my canal. “Well it’s gonna be the sweet, sweet sound of freedom my friend.” It’s infectious. The chatter of excited planning has been building for several days now, and it’s all culminating this weekend out in the desert, way past the lights and noise that make up Los Angeles. To get away from it all for a few days. To immerse in a sea of modern culture. To entrance yourself in spectacle the way the Navajo did 300 years ago. Whatever the reason, Coachella is the center of the world for 100,000 people this weekend.
